The #VegasCombine is three days of racing from June 16-18 at the Orleans Arena. It’s the final chance for athletes to impress the teams and coaches of the NPFL in preparation for the July 10 Draft.
There are going to be 21 complete matches, each with 11 races. All 200 athletes will race on Monday on two Grids. The teams will select 100 (50 men and 50 women) to race on Tuesday. Wednesday continues with the top 30 men and 30 women as determined by the teams. The final match, which will be streamed live on npfl.com at 5:30pm PT, will determine which five men and five women are guaranteed to be drafted in July.
On top of these 19 matches, there will be two exhibition matches streamed live. On Tuesday, June 17 at 7pm PT, we’ll stream the first ever NPFL match made up entirely of signed athletes. Athletes from six of the eight teams will be mixed together in an exhibition match. Then, on Wednesday, June 18, we’ll stream the first ever NPFL match between two official teams. The Los Angeles Reign and the Philadelphia Founders will scrimmage at 3pm PT.
Below are the five different matches with each race you’ll see at the Vegas Combine. If you’re one of the invited athletes, you have the chance to practice the various elements before you arrive. Pay special attention to the final match, as there are some particularly challenging components (such as barbell OH Pistols, weighted double-unders and backward-roll-to-supports).
Stay tuned for specific schedules and athlete assignments for who is racing when.
